Beaujolais

Beaujolais

Beaujolais is a French wine region renowned for its wines made from the Gamay grape, known for their light body and low tannins. While administratively part of Burgundy, Beaujolais has a distinct identity, with a climate more closer to the Rhône Valley. The region is famous for its use of carbonic maceration, a winemaking technique, which results in fruity, fresh wines.

The region’s finest wines come from its ten Crus: Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Régnié, Morgon, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Saint-Amour, Juliénas, Chénas, and Moulin-à-Vent. These range from the floral elegance of Fleurie to the structured, age-worthy nature of Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, offering diverse expressions of Gamay.
