Domaine Thomas 2022 Sancerre ‘Le Pierrier’
210222
Regular price $59.00 Save $-59.00Domaine Thomas, a historic estate with winemaking roots dating back to 1670, is now guided by the tenth generation, Julien, son of John and Ginette, alongside his wife Justine. Their deep connection to tradition is matched by a forward-thinking commitment to biodynamic farming, ensuring their 13 hectares in Verdigny thrive in harmony with nature. What sets their Sancerre apart is their dedication to wild yeast fermentation—a rare practice in the region. By allowing indigenous yeasts to shape the wine naturally, they create a Sancerre that is flinty, mineral-driven, racy, and impeccably precise. Each sip reflects the purest expression of the terroir—rocky, fresh, and bursting with layered flavors—all while maintaining an elegant balance at a moderate 13% alcohol. For over 350 years, Domaine Thomas has remained steadfast in its philosophy: Sancerre should be all about terroir—untainted by oak, and reminiscent of a great Chablis, where vibrancy, tension, and crystalline purity define every bottle.
