Domaine Elodie Roy (Cheilly-lès-Maranges)
Nestled between the Côte-d'Or and Saône-et-Loire is the small commune of Cheilly-lès-Maranges. Its vineyards are interconnected with neighbouring Santenay to the north. In 2018 Elodie Roy left a commerce and law career to take over her father's vineyards in and around Maranges. 24 acres of old vines in good condition, including a parcel of 70-year-old vines that were planted by her grandfather. Elodie learned her wine craft through studies & ten years at Domaine Anne Gros. Practicing organic viticulture, her philosophy is respect for the soil and sustainability in her viticulture Elodie is meticulous in the vineyard, her favourite place and is refurbishing the winery. The wines are fine, fresh and vibrant and like Elodie wonderfully understated.
