The Imberti family, originally from Bergamo, has a long history in wood importation and processing. Over 50 years ago, Vito Arturo Imberti fell in love with the Tuscan hills, leading to the acquisition of Fattoria Le Fonti. Today, his children—Franca, Ferdinando, and Giovanni—along with his nephew Mattia, manage the 140-hectare estate, including 24 hectares of organically farmed vineyards.

In addition to producing fine Tuscan wines, the family crafts Chianti Classico DOP olive oil and cultivates cereals, while much of the land remains a protected forest and game reserve. Sangiovese is the star, expressing the estate’s diverse soils—Pliocene clays, sandy matrices, and pebble deposits—creating complexity in every vintage. Years of research have yielded a rich collection of Sangiovese clones, complemented by small plantings of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Foglia Tonda, Trebbiano, and Malvasia Bianca.
